I have put together and will continue to update this Frequently Asked Questions section.
If the below doesn’t answer your question, then please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail hello@nine18films.co.uk or by phone 077489 66634
Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes I have full Business Insurance with £1million Public Liability. All of our kit is fully PAT Tested.
Q. I see you have a drone, is it insured too?
Yes -I have all the appropriate insurance (through Moonrock Insurance formerly known as Insurance4Drones) in place as well as the A2 CofC qualification for flying.
Q. Once you’ve filmed our wedding, when can we expect to receive our finished product?
A. My normal turnaround time for production is 8-14wks from the date of your wedding. This will include an online, unlisted playlist on YouTube prior to sending out your wedding film. During my busy periods this time-frame can often be extended to 14-26wks. I will notify you of the expected time a couple of weeks after your wedding. In some cases an unavoidable delay outwith my control can occur which extends the time-frame. I endeavour to avoid longer delays however if we are running beyond normal times, I will keep you in the loop and provide an approximate timeframe.
Q. What do we need to do to book with you?
A. Once I’ve checked our availability and discussed your package options then a £250/350 (non-refundable) booking fee (package dependent) secures your date. Nothing is confirmed until the booking fee and completed form have been received.
Q. How do we pay our booking fee?
A. You can pay by Bank Transfer (contact me for details) or by cash/card if at any shows we are exhibiting at.
Q. What do you need from us (the couple) for our wedding film?
A. To avoid any delays in producing your wedding film it would be very helpful if you supplied me with your song choices BEFORE you get married but I understand that you have a lot of other things to sort out too.
We use licensed music from SoundStripe.com on our wedding montages and teasers – we suggest you pick 4-6 songs from their library to use in your montage and simply email fill out this form with the artist and track name and we shall license them as part of our subscription.
Q. How long is a quote valid for?
A. All quotes are valid for 14 days. After this time I can supply you with a new quote, at current prices, incorporating any running offers.
Q. How do you present our wedding film?
A. Wedding films can be edited in a number of formats: long form, short form and highlights only. Long form is a chronological representation of your day. This is not something I offer anymore. Instead I offer a short form version of your day, by this I mean, you will get a series of clips that match your package eg: The Clark Kent, you’d get the Ceremony, Speeches, Montage, Dancing, Teaser Trailer. The highlights only edit (aka The Lois Lane) is a collection of clips edited together into a montage, set to music and using audio captured from your ceremony and/or speeches. Once finalised and signed off, you receive your film on your own password protected webpage using VidFlow to host your film clips. In addition I will WeTransfer you the files for you to keep safe.
Q. How long do you keep the raw footage for?
A. Normally I will store all the raw footage, project files and final output files for 6 months from the delivery of your film. After this time the raw footage (unedited clips) are deleted leaving only your output files. Why? The answer is purely down to the enormous amount of storage space required to store weddings. If you would like to purchase the raw footage there is a cost attached, just ask us for more information. Once the raw footage has been deleted, we are no longer able to make any changes to your wedding film clips.
